Leaderboard (after 2 events)

Event 2 Summary

There was lots of movement in the leaderboard this week, led by Second Start Thoroughbreds rocketing ahead 3 positions to take over the top spot. Fiona led the charge with a fantastic ride - congratulations Fiona.

All of the competitors put in spirited performances, giving the spectators plenty to cheer about. It was nice to see Michelle return to competition and thank you to Breanne for her strong ride as a substitute.

Event 1 Summary

After much anticipation, the Team Challenge got off to an exciting start on November 4. All of the riders and their mounts were in fine form and competed at the highest level. The new viewing area (thank you Roger) was immediately put to good use with spectators standing 3 and 4 people deep and providing lots of encouragement.

Jacqui had the best individual effort and helped propel Horse Rescue Ontario to the top of the early leaderboard. The Canadian Red Cross started the challenge at a bit of a disadvantage as Michelle was sidelined. Many thanks to judge Alison who provided scoring and solid feedback for all of the riders.

Description

Foxcroft Equestrian Centre is offering an exciting new event at its student horse shows. In teams of 3, our elite riders will test their equestrian skills and work to support a charitable cause at the same time.

Teams will compete in a series of 5 shows, finishing at the Victoria Day Horse Show in May 2012. Fans can cheer for their favourite riders and see their points accumulate throughout the season on the leaderboard.

Our generous sponsor, DundeeWealth, has offered $1,000 in prize money. At the Victoria Day Horse Show, the winners and their chosen charities will receive a cheque.
